SCARBOROUGH, Cayton Bay, Summer training course 2008.

Another brilliant weekend course. Thanks to all the Instructors, Students & Parents for a great weekend. Apologies if we did not get round everyone to have a chat, but there were so many and it would have taken up all our time, but thanks everyone for making it such a special event.

We had 113 students training and 300 people in total, Friday evening was in the club all getting to know each other. Saturday morning was training at Scarborough Sports Centre, each Sensei showed different techniques & the course went smoothly.

Saturday evening was the barby on the fields and he mass game of football, Sensei Johns team outplayed his opponents team yet again and they were lucky to finish 0-0, a disputed goal was never going to happen, Sensei's team never loses!

Saturday evening back in the club socialising and dancing our little legs off, Saturday night head down the toilet!, Sunday morning Beach training and races. Biggest cheer was Jordan Grayson's dad swan dive in the parents race, A classic don't know how to break fall so I will hit my face in the sand at 30 miles an hour!  All into the warm, bath like north sea for basics. Bowed out for 2008 and then tried to get your wet gi bottoms off without showing your bum to the students!

FANTASTIC WEEKEND!

From an organisational point of view all went to plan, all got to venues safe & sound, no bad reports from Cayton Bay staff, caravans were the best we have ever had & all got home safe. Spot on!

Looking at May 2009 bank holiday weekend so we can all stay the Sunday evening. Will keep you all informed.
