History
The Association was formed in 1987 by the chief instructor Sensei Ged & John Tumman. Previously the group had been in the Yorkshire region of B.A.S.K.A. under Sensei Greg Wallace, for a short time it was in the membership of F.E.K.O. but soon grew big enough to join the E.K.G.B.
The association has 15 full members and 1 associated member with a total of around 750 members.
It is now a multi styled association that are all Karate based, the majority of the clubs are Wado Ryu The association has strong links with Germany & Ireland
.
There is a full program of events each year with competitions, courses, squad training, referee training courses & a yearly summer training course.
The Association takes part in the The National Championships and has produced Gold, Silver & Bronze Medal winners at the very highest competitions both at home & abroad,
The Association is a small friendly close knit family group with plenty of social events to bring the clubs and Instructors together on a regular basis. The Association has raised over £44,000 over the years for local and national charities. See End to Enders page for info on our Event that raised £12,000!
